Brent Holland
Funeral Director
Brent is a 1997 graduate of Montezuma High School. He received his Associate of Applied Science Degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, where he also completed his professional training in Mortuary Science in 2007. Brent served his apprenticeship at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon, receiving his license in August 2008. Before attending mortuary school, Brent worked for Watts Vault and Monument Company. Brent enjoys golfing, going on ranger rides, attending all of his children's activities, and spending time with his family and friends. He is a member of Knights of Pythias, the Montezuma Lions Club, the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, and the Montezuma First Presbyterian Evangelical Church, serving on several boards over the years. He is currently serving on the Prairie Homes Board in New Sharon and the City of Montezuma Zoning Commission Board. His wife, Natalie, of Grinnell, is a hairstylist at Manestreet Hair Designers in Montezuma. They have three children: Dylan (fiancé, Eli), Kohen and Talen. Brent is the son of Tim and Beth Holland of Montezuma and the brother of Corey (Michelle) Holland of Pella and Lindsey (Shayne) Wilcox of Montezuma. He is also the grandson of the late Marvin and Marjorie Bunnell and the late Edward and Elsie Holland.

Eric Coble
Funeral Director
Eric is the funeral director at Harden Funeral Chapel in What Cheer. He is a 1997 graduate of Tri-County High School and attended Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. Eric received his professional training at the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL, graduating in 2003 while studying at the Robert J. Stein Institute of Forensic Medicine. He served his internship at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney and also worked for Brooks Funeral Care in Des Moines. Eric had been a hospital mortician at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. A lifelong Keokuk County resident, Eric is also a member of the What Cheer United Methodist Church, the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, What Cheer Lions Club, What Cheer Commercial Club, and the Webb Lodge #182 A.F. + A.M. His wife Andrea, of Keswick, teaches third grade at Pekin Community Schools. They have three children, Christian, Graci, and Solomon.

Bev Hatcher

Bev graduated Montezuma High School and AIB in Des Moines. She is married to Ed Hatcher of What Cheer. Together they have two sons, Michael (Edie) of Grinnell and Jason (Kristen) of West Des Moines and six grandchildren. Bev grew up on a farm north of Montezuma where Ed and Bev continue to farm. She has been with the funeral home since 1994. They are currently members of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grinnell. Bev is an avid reader and likes to travel; especially go on cruises. She also enjoys ranger rides with Ed and spending time with her family and most importantly, her grandchildren.

Roger & Vivian Robinson

Roger and Vivian Robinson graduated from New Sharon High School with the class of 1959. They have three children, Alan (Eleanor) Robinson of New Sharon, Sandi (Rick Umstead) Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Rob (Melanie) Robinson of Shawenee, KS; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. They are members of the New Life Fellowship Church in New Sharon. Roger and Vivian are proud supporters of the North Mahaska Athletic Boosters and enjoy attending all of NM school activities.
Vivian worked for Brownell’s Inc. in Montezuma for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. She enjoys antiquing, Lady’s Coffee Time, going to car shows with her husband, Roger, and most importantly attending all of her family’s activities. Vivian is also a member of the PEO Organization.
Roger worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier having the opportunity to serve the community of New Sharon and surrounding areas for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoys classic cars, attending car shows, playing fastpitch softball in his younger years, and attending all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. He was a member of the Mahaska Masonic Lodge for over 30 years.
In July of 2008, Roger and Vivian moved into the New Sharon Funeral Home and have really enjoyed helping and serving the people of New Sharon and surrounding communities.
